Welcome to the Autumn term,
I hope you have all had a great Summer.
For details of start dates for classes please see the classes page as some classes start slightly later than usual this term due to other bookings in the halls.
FOR NEW AND PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
On September 25th I will be giving a talk and a class directed at new students who would like to start classes or who want to find out about the Buqi System's approach to health and healing through Qigong, Tai Chi and Buqi therapy. The venue is the Horfield Quaker Meeting House, 300 Gloucester Road , Horfield, Bristol , BS7 8PD. The event starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm Refreshments available mid morning. There will be opportunity to ask questions and experience a full length qigong class as well as some demonstrations.
On September 26th I will be teaching a full Taijiwuxigong(qigong) day course (10am-4pm) just down the road at The Canteen (Hamilton House)-(upstairs)- (Stokes Croft) All welcome

'The art of self healing'
Five days at the beautiful retreat centre of St Non's near St David's in Pembrokeshire. ‘Exploring Taijiwuxigong for self healing.
' Taijiwuxigong can refresh and heal the whole self. The exercises are simple and enjoyable to learn but have a profound effect, helping to clear old emotional information, detoxifying the physical body, improving energy levels and promoting greatly improved health and a sense of well being' The stunning coastline, the warm hospitality and home cooked food and the added treat of an exhilarating boat trip to take in the varied wildlife (seals, porpoises and sea birds) all help to make this a wonderful few days for self healing. Whilst this is not a silent retreat (impossible with Taijiwuxigong!) there will be an opportunity to explore quiet, meditative exercises.
This course will be full board and also includes an hour and a half, wildlife watching, boat trip, weather permitting which is included in the price-(refunded if bad weather) I will be teaching over three days. There will be a day either side to relax and explore Britain 's only coastal National Park. Buqi treatments will be available at a reduced cost bookable in advance.
Cost of course -All inclusive- £350.00 single rooms, some with stunning views.

Bristol Buqi Centre
We were hoping to open our Centre proper in September but unfortunately many of you will know that Wesley College has recently announced its Closure and that news combined with our commitments as individual teachers mean that we have decided to launch proper in January 2011. However, the good news is that we will continue to run some events as Bristol Buqi during the rest of 2010 and have possible dates and venues lined up, details of which will be available in the next few weeks, so keep checking the websites for those events.

Buqi Treatments
Buqi treatments in Bristol(with me) are at the Chinese Medicine Centre in Brislington, Bristol. There is free parking and treatments should be booked in advance with me, not through the clinic phoneline. There is a Buqi clinic every Wednesday morning at the Centre. A first consultation and treatment is £40.00. Thereafter treatments can be booked in a block (if you need more than one) payable in advance or on the day of treatment. Further treatments are £35.00 per session. I also run a Buqi session on a Thursday morning in Weston Super Mare at Rochester Lodge. Please email me for details. If you are in Bath and would like treatment please email for details.
Information leaflets for new students
With new students in mind, introduction sheets are available for Buqi therapy, Taijiwuxigong and Tai Chi. Included, are details of what new students can expect from a class, some background to each discipline, notes about study aids and consultations with me, as well as a list of prices and methods of payment. These are available to all students, new and existing. If you are a prospective student please email me and I can email you copies of these.
