SPRING TERM 2008

Welcome to 2008! I hope you have all had a good holiday and are looking forward to getting back to classes. Welcome also to anyone who is looking at this website for the first time. Buqiworks has lots of wonderful events going on this year and some interesting collaborations with other teachers. I am also delighted to announce that there will still be some opportunities to learn from Dr Shen.
I am looking forward both to continuing my own studies with Dr Shen and Shen Jin, as well as with my students. I hope to bring Buqi and the practice of Taijiwuxigong  to many more people..  With this in mind, I am running a new Taijiwuxigong course this year, with an introductory talk on January 27th in Sand Bay, Weston Super Mare. I have chosen this venue because the first six day courses are all happening here. There is one day per month (mostly on Sundays) until July. We then take a break during July and August, resuming again in September. From September we will be in Bristol, at St Michael on the Mount. For all details go to the Courses page. All the pages on the website will be being updated over the next few weeks and once this mammoth task is completed, I will be setting up a page for existing students so that you can get in contact, ask questions and discuss anything that you would like to put forward. I have also been talking with a friend who is a film maker and we will be making a film over the year which will be on the website in the Summer.

At the end of 2007, many students talked with me about their experiences of this practice.  You will be able to read some of their thoughts on the newly revamped testimonials page very soon. However, I would like to relate one students experience. This particular lady has been ill for many years. Taijiwuxigong is the first outside activity she has found herself able to continuously attend. Whilst there have been many times where she has found the practice to be quite hard work, she feels that she continuously makes physical progress and this has both improved her health, and raised her morale. I can vouch for this as I remember, that for the first few weeks, she could only do the classes sitting down. She is now able to complete an hour and a half standing and moving! This Taijiwuxigong student told me that there are moments when she is aware of what she describes as a spiritual experience of feeling loved and supported.  This feeling is not confined to the class but can come at any moment particularly when she feels emotionally down.  She is very clear that this feeling is connected to Buqi and Taijiwuxigong. This student is one of many who has expressed this experience to me.

Buqi information is very powerful and for these students, not only are they feeling healthier and happier, they have also experienced other aspects of Buqi health information . I hope many more of you will have the opportunity to find this practice in 2008. Wishing you all a happy and prosperous year.

PEMBROKESHIRE TAIJIWUXIGONG COURSE

The Pembrokeshire course was just a wonderful event. The weather cleared as soon as we arrived. The venue and the hospitality of Sister Alma and Sister Norma are hard to rival. Thanks so much to them, and to all the people who attended, for making it such an enjoyable few days. After all our hard work studying Taijiwuxigong, we took a boat trip on the final evening. It was really magical. It was one of those sunny, sparkling evenings with a light wind. We saw porpoise feeding and jumping through the waves, seals that came up to the boat and many different birds. The scenery was beautiful and everyone came back with a huge smile on their face. I look forward to the next course and hope many more of you will come and experience this spiritual, magical place for yourselves
